Iran Sanctions Compliance

Iran is subject to comprehensive US sanctions administered by OFAC under multiple programs including the Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations. Virtually all direct and indirect exports of US-origin goods, technology, and services to Iran are prohibited without a specific OFAC license. The prohibitions extend to exports through third countries and to transactions that benefit the Government of Iran or designated Iranian entities. US exporters must screen all counterparties for Iranian connections — including beneficial ownership structures that may obscure Iranian control of nominally non-Iranian entities. Violations of Iran sanctions have resulted in some of the largest civil penalties in OFAC enforcement history.
