Mexico Export Compliance

Mexico is the second-largest US trading partner and a central node in North American manufacturing supply chains. USMCA rules of origin determine whether goods qualify for zero or reduced tariff rates — and misclassifying origin is one of the most common compliance errors in US-Mexico trade. In 2025, Mexico imposed retaliatory tariffs on specific US product categories in response to Section 232 steel and aluminum duties.
